As a Sale Profesional, how dare we really want to be different?

This entry is very general. Hardly to be answered or the bullet passed through the target. Why? There is no solid answer for the question.

Be it a holder of BBA or just a beginner in business, the answer will still be a bewildering one.

How can we say that we dare enough to be different? Well, for my humble opinion, being a professional in Sale, which is really close to marketing paradigm, (people may still anticipate that both meaning quite similar ) needs someone to change and always adopt new thing in his or her sale development as well as sale management. If both aspects are taken care off very well, then the result will gradually come. Thinking a sudden result will bring short term happiness and long term exhausted as keep on chasing the sale over and over again.

Frankly speaking, i come from non-background of business education as well as business exposure when i was a kid. I come from middle-class family and inspired to work very hard by getting good grades in school so then can have a secure position, at least as a manager to control over people. Well, when i was in my university, i was exposed to the business world and how things that i dream about may come into reality by becoming an entrepreneur. Dare to step outside from the comfort zone. I read "rich dare poor dad" in my middle 20s (i guess i was late for that as i noticed that there are kids who read it when they are in secondary school). After reading the book, it totally changes my perspective on how i can survive in my career and what should i do in order to have a freedom. Regardless, whatever freedom you may get while you are in business line. Well, the thing you must do in order to be sustained in the line is to be able to change and learn new thing even though it is not your cup of tea at the beginning.

For example, become a sale professional, we need to be able to learn how to plan, organize, implementing and monitoring sale activities. Then, we need to do marketing activities which need us to know how to write an interactive marketing tool and shoutouts, become a public relation for our own services, a motivator for ourselves and clients, database controller for our own sale, market and client database, as well as a blogger. Also, we need to know the art of delivering information and teaching our clients about products and services that we want them to operate and use. A knowledge in understanding qualitative and quantitative form is a must in order to know clients' feedback as well as market trend. A sale professional should know all these basic requirements or knowledge in order to survive independently ( especially for a small or new entrepreneurs who do have enough capital to ask or to do outsource for corporate services). Such basic requirements become a subject which is taught separately in a bachelor's degree. So, it is ok even though the degree we earn may not exposure us to the above basics ,yet, there is a need and urge for us to never stop to learn. By the time we think that we know all, it means we are about to down and meet the failure of our very own.

I learn marketing and sale when i was working as marketing and sale for audit house, then in network marketing as well as insurance line. In insurance, i learn a lot. Some skills which help me to understand how to understand the concept of push and pull, develop personal negotiation skills, preparing plans for negotiation as well as the ability to listen to the voice of clients in different settings like in a conflict ones, patiently. Then i develop (and still) my teaching methodology when i was a teacher to be blended with marketing and sale experiences. The result? I have a hybrid of communication and effective public speaking to be used for many purposes, especially in hard sell activities (as in insurance or other services), cold calls, interactive business presentation and how to handle shame and conflict effectively without being depressed. Depression is always striking people who are weak emotionally and this leads to long term impact personality, self-development as well as attitude. At the end of the day, we lost to meet all ends, pathetically.

My last tip to be a sale professional is, keep thing simple and always gratitude to every single moment that we have as it gives opportunities to understand and self-check about what we may lack off.

Be dare to different. Change and personalize sale plan and presentation. Be dare to dress to impress (eventhough you are doing just a home based business), audit every single performance and every day need to update communication skills in order to be able to influence people, effectively. Marketing shputouts must be creative and looks diffrent from month to month!Spend your time to be creative in any way you may like. Remember, investing in yourself is just like a DIY project. Just do it without much thinking. Do it just like you are a baby who has nothing to fear about. Utilize technology to learn something new for Free. Everyday i try to ensure my self to learn something new which i have never learnt!

Have a great monday and remember to cheris every single second you may encounter while doing sale and marketing by our own.

Regards,

Josh
